Lately there’s been a large focus on women in STEM, or more so, the lack of women in these fields. The Australian Government has created a 2020 Action Plan to enable STEM in education, support women in STEM careers and make women in STEM more visible. Empowering women to follow STEM careers starts with the foundational education in schools.
Women are underrepresented in aviation. Rural challenges are distance, limited child-care and an improving (but still not adequate) female representation in aviation.
