Women are underrepresented in aviation. Rural challenges are distance, limited child-care and an improving (but still not adequate) female representation in aviation. Learning to fly is hard enough, but women in rural areas don't have the option of choice with the distance and may prefer a female instructor, who are few and far between.
On this specific day of acknowledgement, we celebrate females for their work in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematic fields. February 11th marks this wonderful day for women all around the world. Let’s be sure to thank and support them for what they have contributed to society and the change they are making for generations to come.
The word diet often gets a bad rap and the first things that come to mind is food restriction and lettuce leaves. The reality is that we all have control over how and what we eat, and have the responsibility to nurture our bodies in the way that is best for us. Mindful eating/dieting is a personal arrangement between you and the food you eat, so how can you stick to this when working away from home on a FIFO roster, when the meals are prepared for you?

We decided to take a deeper look into how women feel about listing maternity or parental leave on their resumes and offer some words of advice.
